Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, this highly recommended hotel has an elevated location above the bay of St Aubin, with magnificent views of the neighbouring area. Part of the locally owned Dolan Hotels group, the Cristina is comprised of the original old house and a latter-day extension housing most of the guest rooms. A path leads from the hotel to Coronation Park where children can splash around in the paddling pool, or you can venture over to St Aubin’s beach with its soft sand and beach cafes. St Helier and St Aubin’s village are easily accessible by bus, bike or on foot, and there is free parking at the hotel for those with a car. (Read more)
From May to September, you can look forward to spending time beside the outdoor swimming pool, where ample loungers and parasols make this an inviting spot to while away a few hours. Indigo’s Terrace is another favourite sun trap and even on cooler days it’s nice to wrap up and take in the fresh sea air.
Award-winning Indigo’s Grill serves a delicious breakfast and when it comes to dinner, it’s highly regarded for its sublime steaks and seafood as well as wholesome vegetarian and vegan delights, all paired with sunsets and super views over St Aubin’s Bay. If hunger strikes during the day, sandwiches and snacks are available at the vibrant Indigo’s Lounge Bar and Terrace.
Of the 63 guest rooms, just 19 are in the original house, including the standard inland rooms. These feature a modern décor of grey tones and can be set up either as a super king size, double or twin. High ceilings and large windows give the rooms a sense of space, while other features include a shower over a bath, digital television, telephone, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities, safe and free WiFi. Seafacing rooms, which can also be found in the original house, have wonderful views over St Aubin’s Bay while in the new wing, seafacing and balcony rooms all have private south facing balconies with a table and chairs so you can enjoy long summer days outside.
Due to the location at the side of a steep hill and its terraced design, the Cristina is not wheelchair accessible and is unsuitable for those with serious mobility issues.
